Maskara is a festive street party in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
But this magnet has this Mediterranean appeal, pang-Masquerade party…. Ms.
Cecile’s pasalubong from another

Santorini copycat
I have never been to Santorini but the blue-white themed
atmosphere together with the alluring bluish seawater, all made me feel like
I was in that Mediterranean land. So I
brought home this magnet from Thunderbird
Resort, San Fernando City, La Union in
April 2013 during the CEM summer outing 2013.
Ao Dai
What’s Vietnamese in this magnet? Ao Dai (female dress)… Ms. Ludy’s pasalubong from Vietnam last
April 2013.
Mara Clara
I am definitely referring to one of the longest running
telenovela aired here in the Philippines when I named this magnet as such. There’s no physical trace of the telenovela
in this magnet but the little girl in Pre
Rup temple in Angkor Archaeological
Park (Cambodia) used the
telenovela to catch my attention and eventually, persuaded me to buy this last April 2013.
Bayon
This summer of April
2013, I went on a vacation with Mama and some travel buddies in the Kingdom
of Wonders – Siem Reap, Cambodia. The place was indeed enchanting – very
archaeological. I was mesmerized with
the creative architectures built by ancient people – it’s called Khmer
style! So I brought home this magnet
which features one of my favorite art work, the famous “face towers”, and I
named it after its home, Bayon.
Indian elephant
Wish granted – I was joking when I asked for an elephant to Ms. Cecile before she left for field
work in India last April 2013 and she got this one for me
(actually for most of us, lol!)
Isdaan
I got this from Isdaan
Restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac last
March 2013. I together with Mitch, Lanie and their
friend, Paul had a stopover there on our road trip back to Manila.
Twin cups: black version
This magnet has a white counterpart – this is #3 of the
three magnets given by Leo from Qatar last February 2013.
Twin cups: white version
This magnet has a black counterpart – this is #2 of the
three magnets sent by Leo from Qatar last February 2013.
Qatari player
My high school friend, Leo,
sent this (together with 2 more magnets) to me when Sir Nonoy and Rex went to Doha, Qatar in February 2013.
Loving Bohol
His fascination with Bohol is undeniable – it is exuded in
this magnet, Jaypee’s pasalubong from his vacation in Bohol last January 2013.
