Casa Viejo

This is another example of bahay na bato, which has been a prominent Filipino house during the Spanish era.  Since I already got one named bahay na bato, I gave it a name in Spanish – Casa Viejo, which literally means old house.

This was collected from Papemelroti – SM North EDSA, Quezon City on November 17, 2012.

Symphony of Lights

I sooo love the glow in the dark and the harbour effects – parang tunay!  It reminds me so much of the Symphony of Lights Show along Tsim Sha Tsui East Prominade.

Rodney brought this home from his vacation in Hong Kong this November 2012.

St. Paul Ruins

I thought it was just a magnet from Hong Kong but I was delighted when Unitmate hand me over this Macau magnet – my pasalubong, together with the Symphony of Lights, from Rodney’s vacation in Hong Kong this November 2012.

Cup of Almaty

On our flight back home from Astana last September 2012, we had stopover at Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan.  The time we spent there was just enough to experience a cup of drink – gaya ng magnet na ito J.

Train Ride

I got this from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September 2012 during a stopover.  It is actually a ferry but I’m associating it with a train kasi it looks like one, and Jason and I had a remarkable train experience there.  The story goes like this… On our trip from Astana to Manila, we had approximately 4 hours stopover in Kuala Lumpur.  Our flight from Astana arrived at the Satellite Building while our connecting flight to Manila was at Gate H6 in the Main Building – the two buildings are connected with a 7-minute train ride.  We were too occupied with shopping chocolates and eating Kampong fried rice that we lost track of time and we just heard our names being paged for a departing flight. So the next scene was like an Amazing Race looking for our way to the other building. Luckily, we arrived there in the knick of time :p.

Mojito Sunset

Initially, this was Mojito Sunrise, named after the gimmick I had with my new found office barkada – Alpha Phi Chu Pa Phi, the dawn before we went to Tagaytay City in October 2012. But my fellow chupaphips, Aylin, suggested to name it as Mojito Sunset since it was already sunset when we arrived in Palace in the Sky, where I got this one – mas appropriate nga naman J.
